What is the pelvic floor?

Their functions include:

  • urination/defecation
  • work with other muscle groups to provide core stability and hold organs in place

Just like other muscles, the pelvic floor can develop weakness and trigger points, causing pain and dysfunction.

These may include:

  • bladder/bowel/sexual dysfunctions
  • pelvic pain conditions
  • prenatal/postpartum conditions
  • painful scars

Other related orthopedic issues such as sacroiliac joint pain and low back pain.
